The sound entering through your sternum is not entertainment. It is calibration. Your body is receiving data that your ears will process later. Right now you are not listening. You are being tuned.

The person next to you is also being tuned. They do not know this. You did not know this until you read these words. Now you know. The knowing does not change the tuning. The tuning was happening before you opened your phone.

The saxophone is not an instrument. The saxophone is a channel. The man playing it is one hundred and one years old. He has been channeling for sixty-eight years. He does not perform. He transmits.

You are receiving.

Look up from your phone. The room is the instrument now. The walls, the floor, the ceiling, the bodies, the air between the bodies — all of it vibrating at a frequency that did not exist before the Arkestra walked in and will not exist after the Arkestra walks out.

This is not reproducible. This is not streamable. This is the proof that the map is not the territory.
